This 4-storey Grade II listed Victorian home was revived through the insertion of a double storey atrium, and the reconfiguration and rationalisation of a series of later (20th c.) extensions.
Formerly dark and unloved rooms were transformed by bringing light into them from above, and through a renewed connection to the rear garden by way of a gently sloping planted terrace.
Light-touch decorative works and some delicate structural alterations were carried out to the historic portion of the house containing five bedroom suites and one further reception room.
A palette of wide, pale Douglas fir floorboards and muted walls provide a canvas for pops of colour, such as handmade Danish floor tiles and fitted joinery. These quality finishes respect the heritage of the building, whilst providing a playful Scandi-style backdrop for modern family life.
