Our brief was to transform this beautiful Grade II* listed country house into a modern family home and to convert the adjacent Grade II listed barn into a spectacular family space, comprising of a living room, library, party room and guest accomodation.
Both the listed status of the existing structures, and our clients’ desire to preserve the character of the property led to a very light-touch approach to the design with subtle contemporary insertions used to celebrate and enhance the original features and spaces.
